Few details have been released, but Shreveport Police Chief Ben Raymond has fired a Shreveport Police jailer following a pre-disciplinary hearing.

D’Xacier Hymes, who was hired by the department in August of 2018, was fired by Chief Raymond for violation of department policies. Hymes was arrested on November 5th for aggravated assault with a firearm. While off duty, he allegedly pointed a gun at someone.

Chief Raymond has also placed a police officer on departmental leave following an allegation of possible policy violations.

Corporal David Ware, hired by the department in August of 2005, was placed on paid departmental leave by Chief Raymond pending an administrative investigation into the alleged policy violations.

The investigation into both of these men will continue.
