A recent study by WalletHub, the leading personal finance social network, shows that our hometown of Shreveport is the 32nd 'Most Needy City' in the USA! These findings were part of an in-depth analysis of 2014's Cities With the Highest and Lowest Populations In Need.

The study also showed that on the list of needy cities, New Orleans ranked 8th.

WalletHub ranked the 150 largest cities to find the highest and lowest concentrations of disadvantaged people. They analyzed 16 key metrics including poverty, food insecurity and the percentage of maltreated citizens.
