Authorities have arrested a local man in connection with a shooting yesterday that left a west Shreveport home riddled with bullets.

Just before noon yesterday, April 10, 2011, Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 3300 block of Milton Street.  Upon arrival, officers discovered that a home in that block had been struck several times by gunfire.  No one was home at the time of the shooting and no one was injured.  Officers recovered some evidence there at the scene of the crime and later, as they continued their investigation, were able to develop 24 year old Marcus White as a suspect.

White, of the 6100 Lexington Avenue in Shreveport, was located and taken into custody several hours later without incident.  He has been booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of illegal use of a weapon.  Detectives believe another male suspect may have been involved in this shooting and are working at this time to identify and apprehend him.  Anyone with any information regarding this shooting is urged to call Shreveport Police detectives at 318-673-6955 or Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
