Shreveport Home Damaged in Fire

No one is hurt, but a local home is heavily damaged in house fire.

It happened at a home in the 3100 block of Desoto in Ingleside.

Crews  arrived on scene to report heavy smoke and flames coming from the windows at the front of the home.  It took 6 units-20 firefighters-14 minutes to bring the fire under control.  Fire officials estimate the fire damage at approximately $20,000.

Fire investigators have determined the fire originated in a bedroom at the front of the home and extended into the attic.  Fire officials also determined occupants were not home at the onset of the fire.  Neighbors called 9-1-1 to report the fire.  There were no reported injuries.  The exact cause of this fire is under investigation.
