Shreveport Firefighter Arrested on Domestic Abuse Charge

Another Shreveport firefighter has been arrested, but not in relation to the Station 8 scandal. Devin Kennedy is accused of choking his girlfriend during a domestic dispute. Police say they were called to a home on Grimmett Drive, where the victim told officers her boyfriend showed up and they began to argue, and Kennedy got physical.

Kennedy, a 13-year veteran of the Shreveport Fire Department, is charged with one count of domestic abuse battery with strangulation. He's been placed on administrative leave.
