The Shreveport Fire Department responded to the 3800 Block of Huston Street for a house fire at 11:14AM.  Engine 14 arrived on scene at 11:17AM.

Engine 14 Captain Matt Tucker reported a one story wood frame home with heavy fire and smoke coming from the front of structure and side.  Captain Tucker, the crews from Engine 14, and Engine 8 worked quickly to extinguish the fire.  Battalion Chief Stewart McInnis place the situation under control at 11:31AM.

The home’s occupant was not home at the time of the fire.  There were no injuries reported and the home suffered heavy fire damage to the interior and attic.  The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation.
