Shreveport Couple Charged Following Domestic Dispute

A man and woman have been charged following a fight that left both of them hurt.

Police were called to a reported stabbing at a home in the 4200 block of Madera Drive. That's where they found 24-year-old Markythia Jacobs suffering injuries to her face and lower body.

She arrived at the home after getting out of a vehicle she was in with her boyfriend, 26-year-old Vincent Henderson. The two got into a physical fight inside the car after stopping on Madera Drive. Henderson left before officers arrived.

Henderson was located at a home in the 100 block of Medallion Circle. Police discovered he had been stabbed by Jacobs at some point during the fight. He was taken to University Health, where he's being treated for serious wounds.

Both Henderson and Jacobs have accused each other of starting the fight, so police have charged them both. Jacobs, who was treated and released from the hospital, faces aggravated battery. Henderson, who remains hospitalized in stable condition, is charged with domestic abuse battery.
