The Shreveport City Court Diversion Program has graduated its 1-thousandth young person.

Program Coordinator Ron Anderson tells KEEL News this is a big accomplishment. Anderson says these young people youth are getting their G-E-D's, getting jobs, going to college, enlisting in the military. He says knowing you've had a hand in helping that many people is an awesome experience. Anderson says if a young person has been charged with a misdemeanor, the City Court judges have the option of refering  them to his program, in lieu of community service. Anderson says a lot of lives have been turned around.
