Shreveport ‘Caged’ Star Tony Kelley Found Not Guilty of Simple Battery

A nearly year-long ordeal has come to a close for Tony Kelley. The Shreveport native and former “MTV Caged” fighter has been acquitted of simple battery.
Last March, Kelley was charged with simple battery for allegedly grabbing and choking a female nightclub after she had refused to dance with him. The incident led to his dismissal from UFC fighter Tito Ortiz’s Punishment Athletics team.
Kelley thanked supporters on his official Facebook page:
Thanks to everyone for their continued support during these allegations last year. I’m excited and relieved to finally shed some light on the facts of this nature. I’m blessed to have great fans and friends supporting me during those times. Thanks again!!
Kelley also tweeted news of his legal victory to his 12,000+ Twitter followers, including a message aimed directly at Ortiz.
@titoortiz Thanks for the opportunity, you’re a great role model in the sport. shreveporttimes.com/article/201301…
