Shreveport Budget Meetings Continue

Daily Shreveport budget meetings continue this week and next, as council members disect the spending plan department-by-department. Assistant CAO Brian Crawford says the whole package is a big one…$492-million in the Operating Budget and $644-million in the Capital Outlay Budget. This afternoon, the council will look at budgets for SPAR, Downtown, the Convention Center and its hotel, and others. That meeting starts at 5:30 in the Mayor’s Conference Room on the second floor of Government Plaza and it’s open to the public.
