Shreveport-Bossier Kicks Off Holiday Season With Annual Christmas Tree-Lighting Ceremony
Shreveport-Bossier kicks off the holiday season tomorrow. The Outlets at Louisiana Boardwalk will be lighting its 30-foot-tall Christmas tree during the annual Lighting Ceremony. The free event will include live music performed by Songs of the Season and X-Factor contestant Willie Jones. The W.T. Lewis Elementary Bulldog Cheerleaders and Green Acres Middle School Mustang Prancers will also perform.
Children can have their photos taken with Mr. and Mrs. Claus, and the first 500 kids get a free holiday gift. Representatives from Shreveport and Bossier City will be on-hand for the ceremony. It starts at 6 p.m. Thursday, November 21st.
Other holiday-themed events are also on tap throughout the season. Visit a Shreveport-Bossier Visitor Center and pick up a free copy of The Holly Jolly Handbook to find out all about our holiday attractions.
