Shreveport-Bossier Heroin Ring Busted Up

Multiple local and Federal agencies took part in the arrests of 10 people after an investigation into the operation of a heroin ring in Northwest Louisiana. 

Members of the Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Unit executed search warrants at several Shreveport residences; 3817 Pike Street, 1742 Midway Ave, 2812 Murray Street, 5403 Bienville Ave, 1604 Alice Lane, and 4027 Akard Avenue.  

Agents executed search warrants from previous undercover purchases of heroin at all of the addresses.  Approximately 20.6 grams of black tar heroin, 35 capsules of Mexican brown powder heroin, 2.7 grams of china white heroin, and over $6,000 in cash were seized.

According to Sheriff’s spokeswoman Cindy Chadwick, more arrests are expected as a result of this case.
