The opening weekend of the State Fair was a good one. General Manager Chris Giordano says more than 3 thousand people came through the gates on Saturday alone. He says the crowds were even bigger on Sunday.
The Fair is closed on Monday and Tuesday, but will be back open on Wednesday.

Our are did get some rain last week. We measured right at 1 inch at Shreveport Regional Airport. Though it did help, water woes continue across the area. Residents are encouraged to continue conserving water.

A tragedy in Center, Texas where a drunk driver is accused of hitting two children. The man got behind the wheel of his car and drove off from a group of friends. One of them even tried to shoot out his tired, realizing how drunk he was. Both of the children are expected to be ok.

A fight among a group of women in Shreveport leads to a stabbing at a downtown nightclub. It happened at Kokopellis when Yossila Tramiel got into some type of altercation with other women at the club. Tramiel allegely pulled out a knife and cut two women. Tramiel is charged with aggravated battery.
