Shreveport attorney Joey Hendrix is charged with DWI and vehicular negligent injury in connection with a crash on highway 84 in Desoto Parish. On March 29, 2014, at approximately 8:25 p.m., Louisiana State Police Troop G responded to a two vehicle crash on US 84 approximately one mile west of I-49. The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2010 Ford F-150 driven by 54-year-old Joseph Hendrix of Shreveport was attempting to enter US 84 from a private drive and pulled directly in front of a 2013 Mack tractor trailer driven by 56-year-old Arnold Fitzgerald of Tenaha, TX.  Fitzgerald attempted to avoid collision with Hendrix, but was unable to do so.  Fitzgerald’s truck overturned and came to rest blocking both eastbound and westbound lanes of travel on US 84. Fitzgerald sustained serious injuries and was air lifted to University Health Hospital in Shreveport.  Hendrix and Fitzgerald were both wearing seatbelts. Impairment on the part of Hendrix is suspected to be a factor in the crash.  Toxicology samples were obtained and will be submitted for analysis.  Hendrix was charged with driving while intoxicated, vehicular negligent injuring and failure to yield when exiting a private drive and booked into the DeSoto Parish Jail. The crash remains under investigation.

Ironically, this Joey Hendrix YouTube video says he specializes in DWI defense.
