Shreveport police have caught up with a jail escapee this morning.

The man escaped from custody while at University Health. Cpl. Marcus Hines with the Shreveport Police Department identifies the man as 22-year-old Colin Hayden of Atlanta, Texas. He got away from a private guard, not a police officer. Hines says Hayden fled while the guard was asleep.

Caddo Heights, Claiborne and Werner Park Schools were placed on lock downs early this morning, but is back under normal operations.

Hayden has been captured, but details about the location have not yet been released.

Hayden is 6 feet tall weighing 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and tan scrub pants. He was not wearing any shackles.

Hayden is listed as an inmate at the Bossier Minimum Security Facility in Plain Dealing, La. He was arrested for outstanding criminal warrants from Bossier Parish.

Hayden was being held on a $124,200 bond for numerous charges, including theft of a motor vehicle, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, simple burglary, domestic abuse child endangerment, unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, resisting an officer, three counts of failure to appear and two counts of probation violation.
