John Lee

John was born in San Antonio, Texas in 1948.  He married in 1969, divorced in 1974 and has never re-married.  John has no children.

Before radio, John served four years in the US Air Force from 1970-1974.

He became Afternoon News Anchor at KEEZ-FM in San Antonio, Texas in 1974, then filled the chair of Assistant news Director from 1974-75 at KXXO-AM and KMOD-FM in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In 1975 through 1977, he was news Director at KWBB-AM in Wichita, Kansas.
John started his longest stint at KWKH in Shreveport in June of 1977. John was News Director of KWKH for twenty-four years and his name is the most recognized throughout the Arklatex.

He transfered over to KEEL-AM as News Director in April, 2001.
John has a whole wall-full of awards from the AP, RTNDA, and SCCA. We like to call it the “John Lee Wall Of Fame”.
