A local man is fighting for his life after being shot last night in north Shreveport.

Just after 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2012, Shreveport Police patrol officers were dispatched to an apartment complex in the 4500 block of North Market Street to a reported shooting.  Upon arrival, authorities located 21-year-old Jeremy Bradford suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso.
Bradford was transported to LSU Hospital by Shreveport Fire Department EMS with what is described as a life-threatening injury.

Detectives immediately responded to the scene of the crime and, upon further investigation, discovered Bradford and several male suspects were apparently involved in some type of dispute out in a parking lot at the complex when one of the men produced a firearm and fired a single shot, striking the victim.
Their inquiry is ongoing at this hour and detectives are asking anyone with any information regarding this case to call Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
