[UPDATE] Suspect Identified in Jacobs Street Murder
[UPDATE] Detectives have an arrest warrant for 29-year-old Kevin Bowers. He's been identified as the man who shot 22-year-old Dejuan Kennedy at a home in the 4100 block of Jacobs Street.
The warrant charges Bowers with second degree murder. Bond is set at $450,000. Call Crime Stoppers if you know where he might be.
Shreveport police are looking for a suspect in the city's latest homicide. At around 1:45 this morning, officers were called to a home in the 4100 block of Jacobs Street, where they found 22-year-old Dejuan Kennedy with a gunshot wound to the upper body. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators say Kennedy and a person he knows were in some sort of dispute, when the suspect left and came back with a rifle, shot Kennedy and took off in a dark-colored four-door Sedan. Detectives are trying to identify and catch him.
