Shooting Leaves One Dead, Suspect Surrenders to Texarkana Police

A young east Texas man is dead after being shot by his lady friend's ex. Texarkana, Texas, police found 20-year-old Darius Carter with a gunshot to the upper body at a home on Nichols Drive. He died from his wound.

Witnesses say Carter had been visiting a female at an apartment complex, when her ex-boyfriend -- 19-year-old Quadreuy Flowers -- walked in and confronted Carter. Flowers fired one shot from a handgun, then took off on foot.

Shortly after a warrant was issued for his arrest, Flowers surrendered to investigators at the Bi-State Justice Center. He was charged with murder.
