The threat of strong storms moving into our area is here. We could see heavy rains arrive in the Arklatex as early as Tuesday.

The best chance of strong storms in Shreveport Bossier is on Wednesday when we have a 100% chance of rain. 4 to 6 inches of rain could fall in parts of the region as this storm system moves through.

The rain will gradually taper off Thursday night through Friday morning. Flash flooding and additional river flooding are possible during this rain event. Our chance of rain on Tuesday is 40% during the day. That jumps to 90% on Tuesday evening. Sunshine returns to our region on Friday.

It will also be warm this week with temps in the mid to upper 80's on Monday and close to 83 on Tuesday. Wednesday will be a little cooler as the rains arrive with the high expected at 76. When's the next cold front coming? We should see temps in the low 40's on Friday morning.
