Several Shreveport Firefighters Embroiled in Station 8 Scandal Are Terminated
Shreveport Fire Chief Craig Mulford has released disciplinary action rendered to five of the seven firefighters accused of cruelty to the infirm and principal to prostitution at Fire Station 8 on Velva Street.
Mulford says Captain Derrick Harris, a 23-year veteran of the department, has been fired. 17-year veteran Billy Glass, 11-year veteran Jason Vaughn and 4-year veteran Clint Richardson have also been terminated. Firefighter Logan Kerr and Captain William Todd Olague were both cleared of any wrongdoing and have since returned to duty.
The investigation continues and further discipline may be issued pending the outcome of the administrative investigation.
