Several programs at Caddo Parish schools could see a decline in funding during the upcoming school year. The proposed 2016-2017 budget outlines cuts to drivers education, special education and summer feeding programs among others.

The proposed 487 million dollar budget is 2 million less than the existing budget. Caddo Schools Spokeswoman Mary Nash Wood said they had to make tough choices to make sure no teachers were laid off for the upcoming year. The school board will vote on the proposed budget later today.
