Just 6 days ago it was reported that Sears would be closing more than 60 Sears and K-Mart stores across the country. But at the time, the stores in the Shreveport and Bossier City areas were safe.

That all changed today.

The company has now announced they will close three more Louisiana stores. The new list includes a store in Monroe, as well as their anchor stores in the Pierre Bossier Mall and the St. Vincent Mall.

Reports say the liquidations sales are expected to start as early as June 22nd in all three locations.

CNN Money describes the latest moves by the retailer:

"The move is the latest sign of the retailer's struggle to stay afloat. It has closed nearly 400 stores in the past 12 months as sales plunge and losses mount."

Over the last few years the company has closed it's K-Mart stores across the Shreveport and Bossier City areas as well.
