After three days without school, all Bossier and Caddo Parish schools will be open Monday.

Superintendent, D.C. Machen tell us "Children impacted by floods will get excused absences. No schools have been damaged and all schools are accessible." Bus drivers will use alternate routes to avoid those impacted by flooding.

Caddo asks families who live in areas where schools buses are unable to reach children, to bring children to school. “We know we have not yet seen the end of the flooding which is plaguing our parish; however, we must work to begin to establish normalcy for our students,” said Dr. Lamar Goree, Superintendent of Caddo Schools. “Their safety and the safety of our employees remain our top priority, and we are working diligently to ease this difficult time for our community.”

Bossier Parish Community College will resume classes on Monday.
