The Lions led for a while in the first half, but the second half belonged to the Saints.

The Mercedes-Benz Superdome was rockin' Saturday night as the Saints defeated the Lions for the NFC playoff game, 45-28.  The Saints play San Francisco next.

Afterall, it was just over a month ago that the Lions lost to the Saints, 31-17 on Dec. 4th.

Lions fans had high hopes for the team from the motor city, since this is Detroit's first appearance in the playoffs since 1999.  All the while, the Saints have qualified for postseason play in four of six seasons with Sean Payton as coach.

The Saints won the Super Bowl in 2009.

The Saints won their last eight games of the season and finished a perfect 8-0 at home.
