Talk show legend Rush Limbaugh, heard weekdays on NewsRadio 710 KEEL from 11 to 3, says he's going to sue the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee for defamation and his lawyer says he has the legal precedent to win.

Earlier today, Rush's legal team, headed by Patricia Glaser, sent a letter to the DCCC demanding a public apology for 'purposeful manipulation of comments' from his nationally syndicated radio program.

According to the letter, the DCCC created and began distributing a doctored tape of Limbaugh’s broadcast, cutting words out of context in order to purposely reverse the meaning of his statements. The DCCC then allegedly lied that Limbaugh 'excuses rape on college campuses,' and  'is advocating a tolerance of rape.' According to Limbaugh's claim, the DCCC then used those knowing lies for fundraising purposes.

Glaser stated in the letter that such treatment of Limbaugh’s words amounted to 'defamation' under the law.
