Ron Paul said he would retire this year. This is part 1 of a transcript of his farewell speech LIVE on the US House Floor.

In his speech, Paul said:

“We need an intellectual awakening,”. “Real patriotism is a willingness to challenge the government when it’s wrong.”

“Americans now suffer from a culture of violence,” he said. “[Politicians] feel no guilt for the harm they do. . . . They’re convinced what they do is morally justified.”
