The first round of this year's Regional Area Robotics Circuit competition takes place Saturday at the Bossier Civic Center. And the Cyber Innovation Center's Paul Spivey says it's going to be bigger and better than ever with more than 120 teams signed up. The students will have several challenges to meet with their robots. Spivey says the competition is about more than just friendly rivalry -- it also gives the students a chance to apply the "STEM" subject matter they've learned -- science, technology, engineering, and math -- in a real-life setting.
