My brother Hal Wright won the Shreveport City Amateur Golf Championship this weekend, shooting a final round four under par 67 to win by four shots. His son Hal, Jr. finished in a tie for second with multiple city title winner Eddie Lyons.

Hal Sr. overcame a three-shot deficit over the final nine hole to take his fifth City Amateur championship in a career that's spanned more than thirty of the local tourneys.

Taking note of not only his win, but the second place finish by his son, Wright commented, "It was a great day for the Wrights! I'm a very lucky man!"
