Well, another Easter is in the books, and that means another Wright family Easter dinner. And that means another chapter in one of the most cherished Wright family traditions: The family hula hoop contest. I was the defending champion, knocking off my brother Hal in last year's hotly contested final. Well, 'hotly contested' may be a bit of an exaggeration. He gave up after about two minutes, blaming his withdrawal on that third helping of dessert.

As you'll see in the photos, I get most of my points on style. But this year, the winner was my nine year old great nephew, Nicholas, who buried us all with an almost five minute long, hula hooping clinic.

However, despite my setback, I am not discouraged. In fact, there's a hoop in the trunk of my car right now. Off season training begins tomorrow!
