A would-be robber is behind bars.  Shreveport police were called to a reported armed robbery in progress at the Jamison Inn -- at the corner of Raspberry Lane and Financial Plaza -- just after three o'clock this morning.  When they got there, they confronted a mask-wearing man carrying a bag and coming from behind the counter.

Officers ordered him to stop but he ran out a back door. After a short police chase, officers caught up with the man, tazed him, and took him into custody. He's been identified as 31-year-old Frener Chargois. Police say they've recovered the bag, some money, and a 9mm handgun.
