Road Work Hampers Traffic

Several maintenance projects now underway on area roadways could hamper travel for some motorists.  The Department of Transportation and Development has closed the westbound entrance ramp to Interstate 20 in Dixie Inn and the outside westbound lane of the Interstate itself to lengthen the ramp.  That project is expected to take about two weeks.

In Bossier City, you may find the right hand lane of US 71 to be closed -- from Robert E. Lee Boulevard southward.  That project started yesterday and is expected to last about a week.

In northern Bossier Parish, look out for overlay work taking place on Louisiana Highway 160 -- between Highway 3 and Rocky Mount.  That project started Monday and is not expected to be finished until mid-February.
