Richard Seaton, Sr. Booked in Shreveport for Alleged Sex Crimes in Mo.

Shreveport police have arrested the father of convicted rapist Rick Seaton, Shreveport's former Chief Administrative Officer.

Detectives say 73-year-old Richard Seaton, Sr. is also wanted by authorities in Missouri and may have committed crimes locally, too.

Detectives have booked Seaton, Sr. on a warrant out of the Johnson County Sheriff's Office in St. Warrensburg, Missouri. The warrant charges him with a number of sex-related crimes, including statutory sodomy.

Court records show Seaton was a pastor at Leeton United Methodist Church in Leeton, Mo. at the time of the crimes in the late 90s.  He was taken into custody at his Rutherford Street address without incident.

A Shreveport police investigation is ongoing to determine whether Seaton has victimized people in or around the Shreveport-Bossier area. Authorities urge anyone who may have information concerning possible victims to call Sex Crimes Detectives at 673-6955 or Crime Stoppers at 673-7373.
