State Rep. Alan Seabaugh of Shreveport talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright about his decision to withdraw his name from consideration for a federal judgeship and plans to seek reelection to the Louisiana House.

Seabaugh, who also made it known that, if reelected, he will run for Speaker of the House, tells KEEL listeners that, after numerous delays in the selection process and consulting with his wife, sent a letter to President Trump requesting that his name be withdrawn. The Shreveport rep had been originally recommended by Senator John Kennedy with the okay of the state's senior Senator Bill Cassidy.

Seabaugh also talks about the major issues facing the state, including the upcoming gubernatorial election, teacher pay raises and Governor John Bel Edwatds push for an increase in the minimum wage.
