Red River Boat Launches Re-Open

Good news for boaters -- the public boat ramps on the Red River in Caddo and Bossier parishes are open again.

However, the Red River Waterway Commission is advising boaters to use caution when launching into the current and to be aware of obstacles such as trees and sandbars while navigating the river.  As water levels continue to fall to more normal levels, additional cleaning and repairs will be done.  The commission says boaters may experience delays in launching caused by temporary ramp closures during these periods.
