Red Cross Hosting Health Connections Event

A variety of health screenings and tests will be available this week during the Red Cross' Health Connections event. It's happening at the local Red Cross office at 805 Brook Hollow Drive in Shreveport on Wednesday, November 7th from 7am-1pm.

The event is open to the public. This health event is co sponsored by the American Red Cross of Northwest Louisiana along with the NSU College of Nursing.

The event offers low cost opportunity for people to keep up with their health.

Two blood screening options are available:

1) A Detailed Profile (Multi-Chem, CBC, Lipid & Thyroid Profiles),

and for men,

                        2) A Detailed Profile with a PSA Screening (Multi-Chem, CBC, Lipid

& Thyroid Profiles and Prostate Cancer Screen).

COST:             $40 for test #1 or $50 for test #2.    Flu Vaccinations - $25.

Flu shots are also available for $25.

OTHER:          Participants should fast for 12 hours prior to the tests (water is okay).

You also need to bring a 49-cent stamp or the money to buy one.
