The American Red Cross has sent four disaster response teams, including the Emergency Response Vehicle, into Claiborne Parish to work with families affected by Tuesday morning’s storms. Three of the teams will be doing damage assessment, distributing water and talking with families around Homer and Lake Claiborne. The Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV) will be stationed at the fire station off Hwy 79 (411 W. Main Street, Homer), which is serving as the staging area for the response. The ERV crew will be distributing water and clean-up kits to families who need them. Today’s efforts will help to determine the level of ongoing response needed for the area.
