The Harris triplets could be leaving Willis-Knighton South tomorrow (Friday, 02/07/14). Averin, Amir, and A'dez Harris were born to 18-year-old Auset Champion and 25-year-old Derrick Harris the morning of January 13th and have been in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit there ever since. However, doctors now think they're ready to leave the NICU and go home to Arcadia.

What makes the Harris triplets so rare is the fact that they're not only identical but that they were naturally-conceived.  Doctors say the chances of that happening are so minimal that there aren't even reliable figures available to support the number of times that it's happened.

Champion says she's looking forward to being able to take her babies home.  Harris says he knows it's going to be a life-changing experience for both of them but he, too, is anxious for the boys to be able to come home.
