Purple Means Hope

The American Cancer Society of Bossier City wants you to help spread a message of hope -- and "Paint the Town Purple! Businesses and individuals are being asked to show their support for the Relay for Life and help raise awareness for the fight against cancer -- by decking out the Louisiana Boardwalk under the Texas Street Bridge from 5 to 7 tomorrow night. The Relay brings together people from all walks of life, to celebrate the lives of those who have had cancer, remembering those lost, and fighting back against the disease. Folks can also show their support by ordering a purple bow to put on their property. Those are available for a suggested $10 donation -- and all proceeds benefit the work of the ACS.
