Betty Virginia Park will glow with hundreds of pumpkins tonight for the annual Halloween Festival "Pumpkin Shine on Line".

This is one of the most family-friendly events in our community. It is happening tonight at the park on Line Avenue from 5:30-8:30pm. More than 1000 pumpkins will line the trail through the park. Children, school classes, families and many others carve pumpkins in very unique ways. Local school bands and choirs will provide entertainment for this great community event. There are prizes for the best jack-o-lanterns. Cash prizes will also be handed out to the three schools with the most jack-o-lantern entries. Parking at Betty Virginia is at a premium, so you might think about riding the free shuttle from Mall St. Vincent (Dillard’s lot). The shuttle runs from 5-9 p.m. The event helps fund beautification projects at Betty Virginia Park. If you would like to enter a pumpkin, bring it out to the park between 2-4 p.m on the day of the event. Get updates on Facebook
