Public Meeting Today to Discuss Underaged Adults in Bars
This afternoon residents and the city council will get together to discuss the possibility of letting underaged adults into bars and night clubs. The petition says that folks 18 - 20 are spending their money in other places and eventually taking their careers and futures to bigger cities. The online petition so far has been signed by over 675 people.
If the law does changes, businesses would choose whether or not to let underaged folk into their establishments. The public meeting will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 12 in the Chamber Conference room located on the first floor of Government Plaza, 505 Travis Street in Shreveport.
