In an almost to bizarre to be believed turn of events, Rep. Clay Schexnayder of Gonzales, who has voiced his support of the gas tax increase, forwarded calls to his office from upset constituents to the personal cell phone of John Kay, State President of the anti-tax organization, Americans For Prosperity.

Kay tells 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty that his group had made public the votes of the House Ways and Means Committee members, of which Schexnayder is a member. From Kay's Facebook page dated Sunday:

"Like Louisiana political drama? You'll want to read this, trust me.

AFP has more folks walking in Representative Clay Schexnayder's district today.
Unfortunately, when his constituents hear our message and decide to call him about his gas tax vote, they won't be able to reach him. Why?
Because Representative Clay Schexnayder has forwarded his legislative office number to my personal cell phone. He has no interest in hearing from his constituents. Trust me, I've been fielding their calls today."

The Representative has since disconnected the forwarding of his calls.
