Senate Democrats who will run for re-election in 2014 were called into a meeting with President Obama at the White House Wednesday to calm their anxieties about problems with Obamacare including broken promises and the broken website.

Fox News reports that Chief White House Correspondent Ed Henry said that senators talked about the idea of a one-year delay in the fines and enrollment mandates but the president rejected the idea.

This meeting seems to suggest that plans are on the minds of Democrats to force changes to the law. There was a letter passed around in October among Democratic senators urging the Obama administration to delay enforcement of the health care law’s individual mandate.

ABC News reported that President Obama said, “The website is already better than it was at the beginning of October,” but programmers are still working to fix the most basic part of the user experience and that is getting into the exchange.
