On Veterans Day, November 11th, President George W. Bush, 43rd President of the United States, will launch the release of his new book, titled "41: A Portrait of My Father", at an invitation-only event at the George Bush Presidential Library Center in College Station, Texas. This personal biography tells the story of his father, President George H. W. Bush, 41st President of the United States, through his own eyes and in his own words.

President and Mrs. George H. W. Bush are planning to attend this very special event.

“Hosting President George W. Bush at Texas A&M on the day '41' is released, and sharing that day with his father, the subject of the biography, is a momentous occasion in the 17-year history of the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum,” said Frederick D. McClure, CEO of the George Bush Foundation.

The event will be held at the Annenberg Presidential Conference Center on the Texas A&M University campus, will be the second lecture in the George Bush Distinguished Authors Series hosted by the George Bush Presidential Library Foundation. The presentation will include a moderated conversation with President Bush 43 and his former White House chief of staff, Andrew H. Card Jr., who also served as Secretary of Transportation for President Bush 41.

A unique and intimate biography, "41" covers the entire scope of the elder President Bush’s life and career, including his service in the Pacific during World War II, his pioneering work in the Texas oil business, and his political rise as a Congressman, U.S. Representative to China and the United Nations, CIA Director, Vice President, and President.  The book shines new light on both the accomplished statesman and the warm, decent man known best by his family.

In addition, George W. Bush discusses his father’s influence on him throughout his own life, from his childhood in West Texas to his early campaign trips with his father, and from his decision to go into politics to his own two-term Presidency.
