If one of your New Year's resolutions was to become wealthy beyond your wildest dreams then Saturday night you've still got a shot to make that resolution a reality. The Powerball drawing on Wednesday night did not produce a big winner. That means the money has rolled over and is  currently piling up even more for Saturday's big drawing.

Saturday night when the numbered ping pong balls finally come to rest it is estimated that a single ticket matching all of the numbers and the Powerball will be worth $330 million. If you take away the obligatory donation to Uncle Sam and outrageous and totally unnecessary fees tacked on by  Ticketmaster, just kidding, then you'll be holding a single piece of paper that is worth about $205 million.

That will make Saturday's drawing the largest in about a year.

The largest one we've had since February of 2015, if you recall, we hit $564 million which was the largest PowerBall jackpot at that time.

That's according to Kimberly Chopin, she is a spokesperson for the Louisiana Lottery and her remarks were reported in a story published by the Louisiana Radio Network.

Did you know that there are  a series of mind numbing mathematical calculations that suggest when non-players should begin to care about the lottery and  consider buying a ticket?  As you might  imagine with the money gets big people who don't normally play the Powerball will pick up a ticket or two even if they don't understand all that math.

When the jackpot gets to that level, we do like to remind people, new players and regular players alike, it only takes one to win, so play responsibly.

And even if you don't get to lay claim to the big money jackpot be sure to double and triple check your ticket because the Powerball has added even more ways for you to claim cash.

You could possibly still win other prizes, so don't throw that ticket away without checking those winning numbers.

The winning numbers for the next Powerball drawing will be revealed Saturday night just before 10 PM.
