Shreveport police detectives are looking for a pair of would-be bandits who attempted to rob a Shreveport convenience store last night. Just before midnight, officers were called to a reported armed robbery at the Pel-State Fina in the 4400 block of Hilry Huckaby. They were told that two male suspects, both wearing ski masks and armed with handguns, burst into the business and demanded money from the clerk. The clerk reached under the counter, grabbed a handgun and fired shots. The suspects took off, and officers don't believe they were struck by gunfire. Investigators don't have much as far as suspect descriptions go, so they are working to recover surveillance video from the store. But if you have any information that can help them in the meantime, call detectives or Crime Stoppers.
