[UPDATE, Dec. 23, 2014] George Andrews, Jr., has been located. Detectives say he arrived home last night and is safe. Investigators don't suspect foul play in his disappearance.


[ORIGINAL STORY, Dec. 22, 2014]  Shreveport police need help finding an elderly man who left his home yesterday and hasn't been seen or heard from since.

Officers say 80-year-old George Andrews, Jr., who reportedly suffers from Alzheimer's Disease, apparently became disoriented after leaving his home in the 500 block of Dudley Street last night. He talked with a family member via cell phone, but was unable to get back home. He's believed to have been somewhere near Youree Drive when his cell phone went dead.

Andrews is a white male, about 5'11", last seen wearing a derby hat, a Texas A&M jacket and a brown shirt with brown pants. He was driving a white 2010 Mercury Grand Marquis with Louisiana plate number VPW 802.
