Shreveport Police are seeking the whereabouts of a suspect who committed the armed robbery of a local convenience store located in west Shreveport Thursday evening, and shot the clerk in the process.

Just before 9:30 p.m. on February 16, 2017, Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to an armed robbery call at the AM/PM in the 3800 block of Hearne Avenue. When officers arrived, they learned an employee of the business was suffering a gunshot wound to the left leg he received during a robbery there. The victim, 49-year-old Galib Wadi, was taken to University Health with what authorities considered life-threatening injuries.

The suspect was described only as a black male, approximately five feet eleven inches, and wearing a light blue hooded sweater. The suspect fled the business making off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
