Officers arrived just after 4 this morning and they set up a command post and blocked off the 800 block of Flournoy Lucas in an effort to get the situation under control peacefully.

Officers were told there was a man and woman and a child in the home.  Detectives believe some sort of domestic dispute led to the shooting.  After several hours, members of the SWAT team forced their way into the home and found 49-year-old Carolyn Douglas and her husband, 40-year-old Ryan Douglas dead.  A handgun was found inside the home.

They did find a 3-year-old boy unharmed and alive.   He was taken out of the home and handed over to relatives.  Police think Ryan Douglas shot his wife several times and then turned the gun on himself.
