The believe they know who he is...now, they have to locate him. Shreveport police believe 22-year-old Deterrace Purvis was the man who shot 34-year-old Justin Thomas in the 1900 block of Patzman late last week. Thomas told an officer that he and his girlfriend were sitting in a vehicle talking when her brother approached them and demanded she get out of the car. When she got out, the man pulled a handgun and fired several shots. Thomas wasn't hit by a bullet, but apparently was injured by glass fragments when the windshield shattered. Detectives have a warrant charging Purvis with attempted second-degree murder. If you know where he can be found, call them or Crime Stoppers.
